Together, we can change lives

Donate now

No one should have to face the challenges of living with diabetes alone – especially not at Christmas.

Please donate today to help us support families to build vital connections.

The isolation that comes with diabetes can impact anyone, at any age, with any type of diabetes. Managing diabetes is much easier with a strong support system.

DiaBuddies Days provide essential support to children living with diabetes, as well as their siblings, parents and carers. These in-person and online events incorporate fun, practical activities that encourage better diabetes management, combat isolation, and create connected, educated communities for families.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, DiaBuddies Days are part of our broader youth programs for young people living with all types of diabetes. These programs provide opportunities for children, parents, and health professionals, like credentialled diabetes educators and dietitians, to connect.

DiaBuddies offers face-to-face events across metropolitan, regional and rural areas, as well as online events for parents, carers and children.

Please give a tax-deductible gift to Diabetes Australia today. With your support, we can continue and expand services like DiaBuddies Days.

“The DiaBuddies program is vital for kids’ mental health. It helps them realise they’re not alone and that they’re part of a community that understands what they’re going through.
It’s also a space for parents to share stories, tips and feel understood. Newly diagnosed families can see other families laughing and smiling, which gives them hope that they’ll regain happiness too —even if life is a bit less spontaneous now.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider what living with diabetes is like for our kids. DiaBuddies Days really help us carve out much needed social connection, fun and laughter as well as showing them that with a little planning and support they can tackle all sorts of adventures. DiaBuddies has shown Ari and his friends they can do anything —from playing golf, to swimming with dolphins.

They only get one childhood, and every positive moment helps build the resilience they’ll need to thrive.

Please donate to the Diabetes Australia Christmas appeal.”

Thanks to your generosity, Ari and so many others in our diabetes community feel connected, informed, and confident about managing their condition.

With your online donation this Christmas, we can ensure no one faces the challenges of diabetes alone. Together, we can change lives by funding critical programs for people living with diabetes, and their loved ones. Please donate to Diabetes Australia today.

Your generous donation will help Diabetes Australia reduce the incidence and impact of diabetes on people, health systems and society.

Your contribution will help us support people living with diabetes and our mission to work with people living with or at risk of diabetes, health providers, researchers, funders and the community for positive change and outcomes.

On behalf of the diabetes community, we say thank you!
